Project WellBird + Project BlueBird
As a community owned aero club, Air Kaikoura is proud to support community causes.
As a Corporate Sponsor, Air Kaikoura supports the Kaikōura Wildlife Centre Trust to facilitate capacity building via Project WellBird + Project BlueBird.
The Trust’s primary goal is to project manage the vision to implement a wildlife hospital centre and conservation services in Kaikōura, enabling a biodiversity hub and stronghold for wildlife care in the upper South Island.
The Trust seeks to provide wildlife care in a global seabird and marine mammal hotspot, facilitating a critical environmental service to enable the preservation of at risk native species.
The focus is on wildlife recovery through rescue, treatment, rehabilitation, habitat protection, research, education, advocacy, and community guardianship. The Trust hopes to enable the wider community to protect, restore and enhance our natural environment for future generations.
As a registered charity the Trust’s work relies on sponsors, donors, in-kind contributions and volunteers.
