Air Kaikoura - Kaikoura Aero Club

An Air Kaikoura aircraft (ZK-DUQ) started the first Whale Watch flights with a fixed-wing aircraft in 1990. These whale watch flights are now available every day.

AIR KAIKOURA / Kaikoura Aero Club (Inc.) has been flying from Kaikoura airfield since 1983. It has, during that time, flown tourist flights over the beautiful mountains and blue/green sea of the whale watch areas. Flying over the snow-capped Inland and Seaward Kaikoura mountains that Captain Cook called the "Lookers On" to see the best kept secret of New Zealand. The largest cattle station in the country: Molesworth Station.
